First three months of this year I have spent in Belgrade. Before the lock down started my family and I went to breakfast cafes a few times. And that’s when I fell in love with eating breakfast! Before this, I wasn’t much of a breakfast person. Aside from occasional smoothie bowl I was mostly ordering eggs. And they always came with a side of salad. Which, to my even bigger surprise I fell in love too! I had a chance of watching one of the chefs prepare the eggs and now I am sharing tips with you! Since I started with my lifestyle change I have made these eggs and toast for weight loss a lot! And I look forward to them every time!

Most often I make this healthy toast for weight loss using one whole egg, one egg white and one piece of bread. On the day I filmed this video (link in the end of the post) I was hungrier so I used two whole eggs, one egg white and two pieces of bread. My advice would be to listen to your body and cater accordingly.

Salad in the morning makes all the difference. I now love starting the day with healthy, crunchy, light bowl of well-seasoned salad. And I crave its freshness from the moment I open my eyes in the morning! For this particular healthy egg toast I used arugula and green pepper combination. But feel free to experiment with different salads!

This healthy breakfast toast for weight loss comes together in minutes, is very filling and cozy in a way.

To serve you can drizzle some olive oil on top of this weight loss egg toast. And for a little kick add some chili flakes on top!

Eggs And Toast For Weight Loss

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tsp water

  • 2 pieces of bread

  • 3 handfuls of arugula

  • ½ green paprika

  • Salt

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Process

  • Wash and dry arugula then place in a bowl. Top with slices of paprika. Season with salt, olive oil and vinegar.
  • Toast pieces of bread.
  • In a bowl place two whole eggs and one egg white. Beat these lightly using a fork.
  • Add water to a non stick pan. Add in the eggs and turn heat to medium. Keep stirring the eggs all the time until you reach the desired doneness or silkiness.
  • Place pieces of bread on to a plate, top with the eggs and enjoy while warm!
