Smell of toasted sesame seeds always and only reminds me of Serbian djevrek. So, this breakfast cheese spread for weight loss is a healthy version of one of my absolute favorite breakfasts!
It took me a while to find a good tasting low fat cheese. If you are having same trouble, just be persistent! And for this cheese spread, I used low fat, a little salty cheese which hold it’s shape nicely and also crumbles nicely.
I like really strong flavor of sesame seeds, so I toasted mine until deep brown color and until they were very fragrant. There is something a little exotic in the smell of sesame and it definitely makes me close my eyes in the attempt to enjoy it fully!
This cheese and sesame breakfast spread can keep in the fridge for around two days. This depends on how watery the cheese is. If the one you are using is too watery, just make it on the same day. It takes minutes!
This breakfast spread for weight loss goes best served on a piece of toasted bread and some salad. I tried many and have concluded that the combination od peppery arugula and crunchy cucumber works best! But even a sweet and soft tomato will work well.
This low fat cheese spread looks very interesting too. With all the tiny pops of brown, beige and green inside. You can also sprinkle over some chili flakes or ground chili if you want more of a kick!
To season all of my salads I use pink Himalayan salt, apple cider vinegar and extra virgin olive oil which all three of these help burn fat.
In these videos and pictures, I show, for the most part, about half or even a third of salad portion that I eat for each sitting. Reason is purely aesthetic. So, if you are trying to lose weight and making a lifestyle change, more salad is always better. My salad portions are around double the size of anything else I am eating with it.

Breakfast Cheese Spread For Weight Loss
2 tsp sesame seeds
Pinch of dried parsley
2 tsp ground flax seeds
150 gr low fat cheese
2 pieces of bread
2 handfuls of arugula
Apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil
- Place sesame seed in a small pan. Tun heat to medium-high and stir them around until they develop more color and start to smell stronger.
- In a small bowl crumble the cheese. Add in toasted sesame seeds, flax seeds, parsley and salt. Mix until combined.
- To serve spread a thin layer of the cheese spread over toasted bread.
- Enjoy with a big bowl of salad!
