For this broccoli soup recipe, I used frozen broccoli. Just because it’s convenient. I always have it in the freezer and so when I don’t know what to cook or don’t want to spend much time on it, this is the option.
This is one of those low calorie recipes for weight loss that just tastes amazing! And it’s made with only four ingredients. To serve I like to top this easy broccoli soup with whole pieces of broccoli. But also, some yogurt or fermented milk would go nice.
Just make sure, when you are adding water for this easy broccoli soup healthy, don’t add too much. Or else, it will be too watery. You can always add more while you are blending it if you need to.

3 handfuls of broccoli
Water just enough to almost cover the broccoli
- Wash the broccoli well. Place it in a small pot, pour over with water. The water should come just bellow the broccoli.
- Bring to boil and cook just until the broccoli is cooked through. Remove from the heat.
- Add in salt and dill. Using hand mixer, mix until smooth.
- Serve warm with some whole pieces of broccoli on top if desired.
