In the morning I usually wake up craving cucumber salad! I never thought that would happen but I am so glad that it did! It just goes to show how your body craves more of what you consume. And so now that I eat more healthy foods, my body craves more of it! Sometimes, however I crave something sweet in the mornings and for those times, this weight loss jam recipe is perfect!
This is the easiest fig jam recipe! For the video, I made it the night before. But since it’s done in minutes, you can make it in the morning too!
For this 5 minute jam recipe I used dried figs and prunes. I chopped them into smaller pieces and then helped them dissolve better by pressing with the back of a spoon during cooking. If you prefer, you can also use electric mixer to make the jam more smooth consistency.
This weight loss fig and prune jam recipe keep in the fridge for a few days. But, it never lasts that long! It’s just too good! It is quite sweet, so you can add a couple of drops of lemon juice to break through the sweetness.
And for more flavor you can add some ground cinnamon to this fig and prune jam.
It tastes delicious on a piece of toast. Served with a cup of tea, of course!
