Halloween is just around the corner and I wanted to give you three easy Halloween treats that you can make in minutes! One of these requires baking and two are Halloween no bake treats.
To make these Halloween desserts I used googly eyes. They are an easy way to transform pretty much any dessert into a spooky one. For these I used both dark and milk chocolate.

Of course, I had to have a Halloween brownies with eyes. This is my favorite brownie recipe. Brownies are very fudgy and will stay that way for a couple of days. To decorate I used edible coloring and made monsters, mummies, scary faces…

Then for the cute Halloween ghost pretzels I used white chocolate and googly eyes – so simple! You can also use long pretzels to make the same thing. In that case, just make the monster eyes smaller. You can use some melted chocolate instead of chocolate chips.

And for a healthy snack I made Halloween healthy treats or apple monster bites. You can use any nut butter for these and fruit for the tongue.

These Halloween healthy snack ideas cant stand around for too long. You can prolong the time by sprinkling some lemon juice over the back – exposed side.

Process
- Monster Eyes
- In a small bowl mix powdered sugar and cornstarch just until combined. Add vanilla, maple syrup and milk. Mix until you reach thick and runny consistency.
- Place the mixture into a plastic bag. Cut of a small bit of the bag to make a whole.
- Pipe small amounts of the mixture on to a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Pretty quickly top each with a chocolate chip.
- Leave in the fridge to harden for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
- Monster Brownies
- Melt chocolate in a double boiler. In a small ramekin, mix cacao and warm water until smooth.
- In a big bowl, using electric mixer, mix butter and sugar just until combined. Add eggs, vanilla and cacao and water mixture. Mix in briefly. Add melted chocolate and mix until combined. Add flour and mix using a spoon until you no longer can see any more raw flour.
- Transfer mixture to 20×20 cm pan lined with baking paper.
- Top with Oreos.
- Bake at 175 °C for around 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out with some batter on it.
- Leave to cool, then decorate. To hold eyes in place I used some white chocolate.
- Ghost Pretzels
- Melt chocolate in a dibble boiler over medium heat.
- Cover each pretzel in melted chocolate. Place on baking paper, add the eyes and leave to harden.
- Monster Apple Bites
- Wash then cut apple into 4 pieces. Cut out a chunk out of each piece to for a mouth.
- Cover each mouth with peanut butter. Stick in the teeth on the top half. Then place a slice of strawberry inside each to act as a tongue.
- Place some melted chocolate above each mouth then place an eye or two or three on top of the chocolate.
