If you do not drink coffee like me or you want a non caffeinated version of dalgona drink, then this recipe is for you! This viral on tiktok chocolate dalgona is my go to these days. It is SO GOOD!
Imagine ice cold chocolate drink topped with silky smooth, sweet, and very luxurious topping. YUM!!!
For this recipe you can use regular whipping cream which is very light and airy in texture. But if you want the topping to be heavier, silkier in texture then you can use Serbian version of whipping cream which is called slag.
You can find slag at any oriental store. Here in Sweden they even sell it at ordinary Swedish food stores. It is just like whipping cream but in powdered form. All you need to do is add water or milk to it, some sugar and then mix. I like to add milk to mine because milk gives it that luxurious feel. You can also add as much or as little sugar as you want.
I topped my dalgona chocolate with some cacao powder, grated dark chocolate and some chocolate sauce. Sounds like a dream, right?!

300 dl milk
Handfull of ice cubes
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cacao
1 packet of slag
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cacao
1 square of dark chocolate
1tsp cacao powder
1tbsp chocolate sauce
- In a medium bowl add slag powder, sugar, cacao, and milk. Mix using electric mixer until it fluffs up. This takes around five minutes. Color will gradually get paler as you go.
- In a blender add milk, sugar, cacao, ice cubes them mix. Mix for shorter time if you want chunkier ice pieces or longer if you want finer pieces.
- Fill each glass ¾ full, top with silky slag. For finishing touch, dust over with some cacao powder, some grated dark chocolate, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
