This is a Swedish Christmas classic. V makes this every year around this time, at least a couple of times. It is what I look most forward to at the Christmas table, aside from the sweets. 🙂 We have it with ham, beetroot salad, Swedish Christmas bread, meatballs, eggs, caviar, cornishon, peppers, mustard.. and more. 🙂
This is one of the easiest and most delicious desserts. And one of my childhood favorites! I love sweet and sour so I think I prefer one with cherries. But I also love the combination of apples, raisins and cinnamon, so it is hard to decide.
This is THE softest cake EVER! Light as a cloud, beautifully moist, intensely citrusy and so sweet! Also perfect for this season.
